These are Team Fees that the league charges to teams. Clubs will have a Player Fee that will include Team Fees, Registrations Fees and other fees depending on the Club.

 

Registration Fee

There is a once a year registration fee for all players and coaches. This only applies to teams that card thru WMSL.

     Recreational player = $8

     Competitive Player = $16

     Dual Roster Player = $8.50

     Coaches = $11

 Metro League – All U7 and above teams will play in Metro League. You will have at least 4 games at WMSL (possibly more) and the remainder of your games will be away.

Reasons to play in Metro League –

No matter what level of play your team is at, Metro League means more teams, more divisions and a better chance of playing other teams at your skill level. If you get to play 8 games of like competition, a little travel may be worth the effort.

Get to play different teams than the ones you are used to playing. Variety is the spice of life.

Kids get a little travel, which is fun, and they might get to eat at a different pizza place.

Small Sided Soccer - The state organization, MYSA, has mandated Small Sided Soccer for all teams U12 and below. KC Metro League and WMSL has chosen to wait one year before implementing these changes. Our play will remain as shown above until after the Spring 2009 season. We will then adopt the new small sided format beginning with the Fall 2009 season. Warming Up In Goal Mouth

 No teams on U9 and above fields will be allowed to pre-game warm-up in the penalty area. Reason – compaction of soil is one of the biggest reason for grass damage. Warming up for 15 minutes or so before the game probably gives this area 20 times the usage as during the whole game. We all want to play on better quality fields and this is a step in that direction.

 

Play Formats

U7 and 8 Format -      play 5 vs 5 (4 plus GK) with a max roster of 10

U9 and 10 Format -play 8 vs 8 (7 plus GK) with a maximum roster of 14. 

U11 Format -          play 8 vs 8 (7 plus GK) with a maximum roster of 16.
